A Vacuum Sealer is used to create a package for food storage that will last a long time.

Vacuum SealerThe vacuum sealer works by sucking air and moisture from a special storage bag.  Then bags are usually frozen.  Vacuum sealing allows you to keep the food stored or frozen for longer periods of time.

When you BBQ there are often lots of leftovers.

Whenever I cook pulled pork I usually cook way more than we need to eat.  We freeze the leftovers to use in a variety of meals. A vacuum sealer is a great way to help the extra pulled pork last longer in the freezer.  Plus the sealed bags are easy to reheat with a quick bath in some boiling water.
